  The Global Citizenship Education (GCED) course, I find its framework profoundly insightful for understanding the complexities of our interconnected world.   This course on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) gave me a clear understanding of how interconnected the world is and how education plays a vital role in preparing learners to face global challenges. I learned the background and principles of GCED under UNESCO’s framework and how it connects to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 4 on quality education. The course also explained who a global citizen is, the key concepts of GCED, and its thematic areas such as human rights, sustainability, and peace education.
  
  I appreciated the chapters on pedagogy and teaching strategies because they showed that GCED is not just about theory but also about practice. Effective teaching of GCED requires interactive, participatory, and transformative approaches that help students apply values like respect, inclusivity, and responsibility in real life.
  
  Overall, this course broadened my perspective and helped me recognize the importance of being a responsible global citizen. It taught me that education should empower individuals to think critically, act ethically, and work with others toward building a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
