  • DAVE MARK DIANGCO
The GCED Online Course is a truly transformative experience for any future educator because it provides a clear bridge between local identity and global responsibility. As a BSED Filipino major at MSU General Santos I found the curriculum incredibly relevant because it aligns with our IRISE core values of Integrity and Respect and Innovation and Service and Excellence while offering a practical framework for the year 2026. I particularly appreciated the focus on the cognitive and socio emotional and behavioral domains of learning because they remind us that true education is about more than just academic grades and technical knowledge. The video featuring Teacher Lee and his students in Korea was a major highlight for me because it showed how student centered learning can foster an environment of inclusivity where young minds are naturally open to the beauty of diversity. In the Philippine context where we have so many regional languages and cultures this course proved that our diversity does not have to compromise our national oneness but can actually strengthen our solidarity if we approach it with empathy. The course effectively shows that global citizenship is about being deeply rooted in our own culture while remaining open and connected to the rest of the world. It reminded me that while these global concepts are already integrated into our national education system they need to be more emphasized so that our students can truly live out these values in their daily lives. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to become a teacher who molds both the mind and the heart to build a more peaceful and just future for the global village.

This course opened my eyes in a lot of ways i didn't imagined before. It reminded me on how interconnected people really are form the simplest ways in our daily lives to evident ways such as the actions made by countries all over the world to make us more connected and harmonious. The learnings made me reflect of how my actions could affect another person's life that's why we need to be responsible in everything we do. The lessons also highlighted the role of teachers in developing critical thinking, participation, and responsible action among learners. Overall, this course helped me understand that education should go beyond academic knowledge and should help learners become compassionate, responsible, and contribute to a peaceful, just, and sustainable world.
