Shobita Rao

Shobita is a learning designer, facilitator, and trained SEL practitioner with a decade of experience at the intersection of education, emotional intelligence, and learning design. Her work is rooted in the belief that learning is most powerful when it speaks to both the head and the heart. Over the last few years, she has led the redesign of large-scale online SEL programs with UNESCO MGIEP, crafted culturally grounded content for diverse learners, and facilitated impactful learning experiences for both youth and educators. From virtual masterclasses to Train-the-Trainer programs for senior faculty, she brings warmth, structure, and deep listening to every session she leads.

With over seven years of experience in instructional design, Shobita has worked with institutions like IIM Bangalore and the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), building learner-centric programs across platforms like edX, Coursera, and FramerSpace. She moves fluidly between designing curriculum and guiding human connection—whether she's writing facilitator guides, designing digital learning journeys, or holding space for reflection and dialogue. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and always focused on the whole learner.
