  As an educator, I found this Global Citizenship Education (GCED) course to be meaningful and insightful. It strengthened my understanding of the importance of nurturing responsible global citizens and integrating AI in ways that support learning while keeping human values at the centre of education.

  The course taught me about Global Citizenship Education. It brought to my attention that I belong globally and must ensure that I contribute to the right of education, right of health care, and to peace, prosperity and partnership with the next person so that we build a peaceful planet which we should again protect it. The course highlighted GEFI to develop citizens who understand the constitution and laws of the countries, and the interconnectedness and interdependence of the global citizens. It gave me a platform as a teacher to prepare and train learners to think innovatively, be creative and be critical thinkers and to demonstrate their knowledge beyond the walls of the classroom.

  First and foremost, I would like to express my appreciation. I am really grateful for the valuable knowledge shared in this lecture. The course has greatly enhanced my understanding of the topic of GCED and SDGs. The knowledge communicated through both the lectures and reading materials highlighted and set forth "what" should be done and "how" to develop global citizens who understand the world around them and act responsibly in this world that is full of challenges, crises, growth of advanced technologies, inequality and other issues. The ultimate goal is to safeguard rights and protect the planet. As teachers, we need to be global citizens ourselves in order to foster these values in our learners. Our teaching needs to be more than cognitive, transmitting knowledge ,but rather it needs to further build socio-emotional and behavioural skills and competences in learners, so that they can develop a critical understanding and consciousness of all the issues affecting all people globally, and engage actively to build peace, safety, justice, and sustainability.

Participants overwhelmingly praise its highly relevant focus on the digital age, highlighting the central takeaway that while AI and ICT provide powerful educational tools, GCED provides the essential human values such as empathy, equity, and responsibility needed to guide them. Rather than treating technology as a shortcut or a passive medium, the curriculum inspires teachers (particularly highlighted by educators in regions like Algeria and Mali) to reframe AI as a catalyst for critical inquiry and ethical digital citizenship. Ultimately, the course serves as a powerful professional reminder that integrating technology is most effective when paired with innovative, learner-centered pedagogy that keeps the human element at the absolute center of the classroom.
