This course on AI has revived my reflections on ethics and the place of human beings , but above all it has convinced me of the need to explore theses issues more deeply and to approach them through the right questions.Furthermore , there is a need only to share experiences and best practices, such as the one presented by the professor , but also to reflect on them from a sector-specific perspective

I think it's a valuable educational approach when it's taught in a balanced, evidence-based way because GCED aims to help learners understand global issues, think critically, respect diversity, and develop the skills needed to participate responsibly in local and global communities

This course enabled me to design a plan to address a long-standing issue I have been concerned about, transforming my ideas into a structured and actionable approach.

After engaging with the four modules of this course, I have a much clearer vision of my role as an educator in 2026. This journey has demonstrated how the 17 SDGs serve not just as abstract goals, but as an integrated framework for our shared future.

What resonates most with me is the 'Glocal' approach—thinking globally about the 2030 Agenda while acting locally within my classroom here in Algeria. Throughout my 17 years of teaching, I have seen many changes, but the integration of GCED is perhaps the most transformative. By actively weaving the three dimensions of GCED—Cognitive, Socio-emotional, and Behavioral—into my lessons, I aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world impact.

Furthermore, the modules on AI have challenged me to view technology not as an obstacle, but as a new frontier. It is our responsibility to teach our students to be ethical architects of these tools rather than passive consumers. My commitment is to empower my students to transition from simply 'understanding' global challenges to 'taking action' as ethical, responsible global citizens. I look forward to applying these frameworks to foster a more sustainable, inclusive, and human-centric learning environment for all my learners.

The UNESCO reading in particular pushed me to sit with some uncomfortable questions about AI, knowledge, and whose voices get centered in education. I appreciated that the course didn't offer easy answers but gave us the tools to keep asking better questions. Overall a thought provoking and timely learning experience.

    Hello everyone,
I would like to share my reflection on the PRE-REQUISITE COURSE for the11th Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED. I thoroughly enjoyed the lecture .The videos were engaging and provided valuable insights into Global Citizenship Education, the role of GCED that can foster human -centered learning by empowering educators to collaborate using innovative tools .GCED also reminds us that technology should serve people to overcome global issues rather than replacing them. The content was highly relevant to my project and inspired new ideas. My only suggestion is to improve video navigation feature, ,as it would make it easier to return to specific parts of the lessons to revisit specific sections and reinforce key concepts.Overall ,it was an excellent and enriching learning experience.
Thank you for this opportunity to be part in this online workshop.
