This course has made me realize that whatever I am doing in my home country and continent is not in isolation. All of my efforts contribute to having a more peaceful, just, and kind world. This course should be opened to every young person to understand how they can make our world better

This GCED course helped me better understand what it truly means to be a global citizen in today’s interconnected world. One of the most important takeaways for me was realizing that global challenges such as inequality, misinformation, and social division cannot be addressed individually, but require collective responsibility and empathy.

The course also highlighted the strong connection between Global Citizenship Education (GCED) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL). It made me reflect on the importance of not only understanding global issues, but also developing skills like empathy, critical thinking, and responsible communication.

As a Computer Science student, I found the discussions around media, digital spaces, and information literacy particularly relevant. It made me more aware of how technology can both contribute to challenges and be used as a tool for positive change.

Overall, this course has encouraged me to be more mindful of my role in society and has motivated me to actively engage in initiatives that promote inclusion, awareness, and responsible digital behavior among young people.

The GCED course has been a turning point in my understanding of individual roles in a borderless era. The most vital lesson I've learned is that global crises ranging from social inequality to environmental issues cannot be solved in isolation; they demand collective empathy and concrete action that transcends national boundaries.

While SDG4 directly targets education for sustainable development, prevention of violent extremisim and the global peacebuilding, I thought this course in particular targetting media literacy, advocacy campaigns and how GCED is impacted and how it can impact Youth around the world really showed me the interconnectivenss of such important topics and further enhanced my crititcal thinking skills. It also inspired me to not only apply to the 12th YLW workshop but also find other opportunities to involved myself. I am extremly satisfied and would recommend this course to others.

This course deepened my understanding of global citizenship, both in theory and in practice. Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is closely connected with Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), making it essential for a global citizen to not only grasp GCED values but also develop emotional intelligence, which strengthens their sense of responsibility. By incorporating real-life examples, the course made it easier for learners to recognize and relate to the values of global citizens.

This course helped me better understand global citizenship as a practical and everyday responsibility rather than an abstract concept. I particularly appreciated how the course connected theoretical concepts with real-world examples, encouraging me to reflect on my own role as a young person in promoting inclusive and sustainable development
